Terms of Service

Kivire is operated by [operator’s legal name], at [street address], [city], California, [ZIP], United States. In these terms “we”, “us” and “Kivire” mean that person and that service; “you” means whoever is using it.

Using Kivire means you accept these terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not accept them, do not use it. If you are using Kivire for an employer or a client, you are confirming you may accept these terms on their behalf.

• You must be at least 16 years old. Kivire is not for children, and we do not knowingly keep accounts for them.
• One person, one account. Keep the email address on it current, because it is how you sign in and how we reach you.
• Sign-in links and sessions are yours to look after. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into your account.
• What you tell us about yourself should be true. What you put in a resume is your business, but see section 6.

Kivire is a resume builder. It scores a resume against a published set of checks, suggests changes, matches it against a job posting you paste in, drafts and rewrites text with AI, and produces a PDF or Word file. Job listings shown in the app come from third-party job boards; we do not publish them, verify them, or have anything to do with the employers.

The Kivire Score is our own opinion, expressed as a number. It is a way of making writing advice concrete, not a measurement of anything an employer does. No score, including a perfect one, means a resume will be read, shortlisted or accepted by anyone.

Everything you write or upload - your resumes, cover letters, the postings you paste in - remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and we do not sell it.

To run the service we need your permission to do the obvious things with it: store it, back it up, show it back to you, render it into a PDF or Word file, and send the parts needed to our AI provider when you ask for AI help. That permission is limited to operating Kivire for you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your resumes to train AI models, and our AI provider is contractually barred from training on them either. The Privacy Notice says exactly what is sent where.

You can download everything you have in Kivire at any time from Settings, as a file you keep, whether or not you are paying.

Some text in Kivire is generated by artificial intelligence. It always arrives in a panel that says so, and nothing it writes enters your resume until you accept it. You should always know whether a person or a machine wrote what you are reading.

• Write a resume for someone whose experience you are inventing, or help anybody misrepresent their qualifications.
• Use Kivire for anything illegal, or to harass, defraud or impersonate a person or an employer.
• Upload malware, or content you have no right to use.
• Break, probe or overload the service: scraping it, hammering the AI endpoints, working around plan limits, or reselling access.
• Use Kivire to build a competing product, including by extracting its scoring rules, templates or prompts at scale.
• Share an account with other people, or resell what you generate as a service without our written agreement.

Breaking these can cost you the account. Where we can, we will tell you what happened and give you the chance to put it right first.

Usage credits are extra AI usage bought on top of a paid plan, in bundles of $5, $10 and $25. They are available to Pro and Lifetime accounts only.

• Your plan’s monthly usage is spent first. Credits are used only once that is gone, so buying them never wastes what you already have.
• Credits do not expire. You paid for them.
• Credits are not money. They cannot be cashed out, transferred to another account, or refunded once any part of the bundle has been used.
• Unused credits end with the account. If you delete your account, they go with it.

You can delete your account at any time, from Settings. It removes your resumes, cover letters, conversations and history, and it cannot be undone - download your data first.

We can suspend or close an account that is breaking section 6, being used for fraud, or costing us money in bad faith. Suspension signs the account out and blocks it until the matter is resolved; it does not delete anything. Where the law and the circumstances allow it, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond. A suspension does not stop a subscription billing, so cancel it if that is what you want.

Kivire is a live service and it changes. Features get added, altered and occasionally removed. We will not remove something a paid plan is built around without telling account holders by email beforehand.

We do not promise the service is always available. It has no uptime guarantee, and it will be down sometimes - for maintenance, or because something broke.

If Kivire shuts down for good, we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice by email, keep downloads working during that time, and refund the unused part of any subscription. Lifetime purchases made within the 12 months before the notice will be refunded pro rata.

Kivire is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not promise that using Kivire will get you a job, an interview, a reply, or past any employer’s screening software.

Hiring decisions are made by employers using systems we have no access to and no influence over. Our advice is based on what generally makes a resume clearer and easier for those systems to read. It is advice, not a result, and no part of this service is a guarantee of any outcome.

We also do not vet the job listings shown in the app, do not endorse the employers behind them, and are not part of any application you make.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Some places do not allow the exclusions below, and where that is so they do not apply to you.

Otherwise, and to the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost earnings, lost job offers, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to whatever you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, or $100 if you paid us nothing.

You agree to cover us against claims arising from your own breach of these terms or from content you put into Kivire that you had no right to use.

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, and the courts there are where a dispute would be heard.

If you are a consumer living somewhere else, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts. Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.

Before anything formal, write to [email protected]. Nearly everything is a misunderstanding, and nearly everything can be fixed by email.

We can change these terms. If a change matters - the price, your rights, what we may do with your content - we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand, and the change applies from the date given. Carrying on using Kivire after that means accepting them; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of what you paid.

Smaller corrections take effect when published, and the date at the top of this page changes with them.
